You can make a dish on your menu available ONLY for orders during a limited amount of time or become available for order on a specific date. This may be useful if you'd like to feature an item for a specific holiday (for example: Diwali or Christmas). By default, your menu items won't be limited.
How to limit availability for certain dishes on your menu
When creating a brand new dish: You are able to choose how to limit the dish in the "Description" section when creating a new menu item.
Changing the limits on an existing dish on your menu: Go to your menu and click the "Edit Dish" text to the right of the menu item you want to edit. Click on the "Description" section of the dish editor and scroll down to see the "Limit Item Availability" drop down menu. Choose how you want to limit the dish, and provide any dates needed. Make sure to click "Next" and "Finish" in the bottom right corner to save your changes.
Sometimes edits made to your menu requires our menu team to review and approve the changes, so if you don't see the changes take effect immediately, please allow our team a few days to approve the changes you have made.
These are the different options you can choose from the "Limit Item Availability" drop down menu:
Not limited: Do not add any date restrictions for this item.
Available on: Make this item available ONLY for orders on this specific date
For example: Specialty cookies only available for delivery ON Mother's Day
Unavailable on: Make this item unavailable ONLY for orders on this specific date
Available during: Make this item available ONLY for orders in this range of dates
Set it for the day before the dish will be available until a day after it's gone. So, if you want the dish to be available from 2/14-2/16, you will set the start date to 2/13 and the end date to 2/17.
Unavailable during: Make this item unavailable ONLY for orders in this range of dates
The “Limit Item Availability” feature simply gives you further flexibility on when each menu item can be ordered by your customers. If you do not need to add date restrictions, keep your dishes set to "Not Limited".
