Dish capacity is the number of dishes you can sell in one delivery day (regardless of the number of orders). If your dish capacity is set at 20, you can sell a maximum of 20 dishes per delivery day before your menu shows as sold out to your customers for that day. Your customers will be able to choose another upcoming delivery day that hasn't sold out yet.

Checking or updating your dish capacity

In your Shef Dashboard, go to "My Profile" and look for the section titled "Current Dish Capacity." You can adjust your capacity up to the maximum, but you cannot change the maximum. For example, if the maximum is 20, you could set your capacity as any number up to 20 (like 5, 10, or 15).

We set your maximum dish capacity based on several factors. The basic criteria we look for when increasing the maximum capacity is that you have successfully completed two sold out days at your current maximum capacity. For instance, if your current maximum capacity is 20, and you sold out (sold 20 dishes in a single day) at least twice, you may be eligible for your maximum capacity to be increased!

If you're still in the trial period, the maximum cannot be increased until you pass the trial period.
