Get your menu in front of more potential customers, increasing visits to your menu and the likelihood of increasing your orders. Follow along for a few tips & tricks that can help you:
1. Extend Your Cut-Off Time
Shefs who change their cut-off time to the day before delivery see a 30% increase in earnings on average! Your "cut-off time" refers to the latest time that a customer can place an order with you prior to a delivery day. 25% of orders are placed the day before delivery - so, if your cut-off time is 2 or more days prior to the delivery day, you're missing out on 1 in every 4 customers.
You can update your cut-off time in the "My Profile" page of your Shef Dashboard. Watch the example to see how. |
2. Add Ongoing Availability
Don't worry about managing your availability week to week. Set it and forget it! Ongoing availability makes your menu available on Shef.com for upcoming future weeks according to the days of the week you select. The more days you're available, the more you'll show up for customers when they're browsing!
You can update your ongoing availability in the "Availability" section of your Shef dashboard. Watch the example to see how. |
Note: If you make this change, be sure to stay on top of your availability so that you don't have to cancel orders - customers are unlikely to order again from a Shef who has canceled.
3. Use Shef's Give & Get Referral Program
Share your unique give-get referral code found in the "Grow Your Business" page of your Shef dashboard to bring new customers to your menu. This code will give new customers $15 off their first 3 orders, and for every referral, you'll get a $10 bonus cash (up to $30 per customer)! Read more here on how this program works.
4. Offer a Promotion On Your Menu
To stand out to new customers, offer a promotional discount on your menu! You can create a discount in the "Grow Your Business" page of your Shef Dashboard and click the "Show this promotion on Shef.com home page" toggle so that more customers will see your menu.
By clicking this toggle, a banner will appear on your menu and it will make your menu appear in a "Special offers for you" section if the customer qualifies for the discount.
