Writing Your Biography (Shef Bio)
Updated over a week ago

Shef is all about personal connections! The more your customers feel like they know you, the more loyal they'll become. Whether you've been cooking with your family for several decades or you're a classically trained chef, your bio is a chance to share your personal story with your customers!

We recommend writing a bio that is about 5-7 sentences long. The most important thing is to add enough details about your personal story to build a connection with your customers.

To upload your bio, log into your Shef account and go to the 'My Profile' page of your Shef Dashboard. Once you add your bio, make sure you hit the 'Save Shef Profile' button at the bottom of the page!

Shef Connie's bio is a great example: "I grew up in New York with my immigrant Cantonese mother, with whom I spent a lot of the time in the kitchen. It is because of her that my now lifelong passion for working in food and hospitality began. Working in professional kitchens for the past ten years in fine dining restaurants, hotels, and catering settings alongside chefs from different backgrounds and cooking styles has significantly influenced my culinary persona. Traveling to foreign countries and immersing myself in culture through food has also been a great inspiration. I focus on creating simple but delicious vegan and vegetarian Asian dishes. I love dreaming up of new, creative ways to highlight seasonal vegetables and creating delicious new twists on classics. Desserts are a specialty of mine so satisfy your sweet tooth!"
