How to make changes to your Weekly Shef Service menu

WSS Shefs who are looking to change your menu

Add a NEW DISH

  1. New dishes for WSS will need to be approved.

    1. Propose a new dish from your Menu Page.

      1. Select Add New Dish at the top of your dish catalog.

      2. Select Propose WSS Dish

      3. Complete the steps for the proposal and submit it for review.

  2. Wait for feedback or approval via email. The menu approval process may take up to 5 business days.

  3. Once you have received feedback.

    1. If your menu item is approved, you will need to go to the approved dish and build it:

      1. Fill out all the necessary information for the dish. Here are some important fields:

        1. Under Serving Sizing and Price, you can edit this section to change the base number of containers. (This is the number of containers your dish requires and will determine the number of labels printed for each dish sold)

        2. Under Description, your dish order limit is the max. # of this dish you can make per day it is available.

        3. Under Description, you can set Limit Item Availability based on when you want to start selling the dish or the time period the dish will be available.

        4. Please follow our photography guide to take the photo and upload.

      2. Once the dish is confirmed and completed with photo, it will require an additional 3-5 days for final review and photography edits for it to go live.

    2. If your menu item is rejected, you will need to create a different dish.

    3. If you received feedback, respond accordingly.

    4. Our Weekly Service menu pricing is standardized. Please price your dishes according to the tier they are approved for as shown below.

Edit a Dish

  1. Go to your menu page.

  2. Go to the dish you'd like to edit and select edit.

  3. Select the type of change, make the changes and propose the change.

  4. You will receive feedback for the proposed change within 5 business days via email.

Remove a Dish

We ask that when removing a dish, you fulfill any pending orders you may have already received for the dish. If you cannot do so, please contact support@shef.com.

  1. Go to your menu page.

  2. Go to the dish you'd like to remove and select edit.( Please do not delete as it will delete pending orders and permanently remove the dish from your catalog)

  3. Go to the Descriptions section.

    1. Scroll to the bottom for Limit Item Availability.

    2. Select Last Delivery Date from the dropdown.

    3. Set the Date.

    4. Please note, if you have already received orders for that item past the set date, the orders will not cancel. Please double check your dashboard and notify support@shef.com if you cannot fulfill those orders.
